Annaberg Plantation Ruins
There are numerous settings for a charming wedding ceremony within the historical plantation, and breathtaking views only a wedding within these unique surroundings can create.
Annaberg is a former Danish sugar mill and plantation featuring ruins rich in tradition and history. Annaberg Plantation, as of 1780, was one of 25 active sugar producing factories on St. John. Annaberg was named after William Gottschalk's daughter and translates to Anna's Hill.
Today, the plantation ruins are protected by the Virgin Islands National Park and are open to the public. Plan your wedding ceremony at Annaberg Ruins for early in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the crowds and the heat.
Hawksnest is a stretch of white sandy beach making it an unforgettable location for a wedding ceremony. Hawksnest offers plenty of facilities including restrooms and a place to change clothes for the Bridal couple and guests.
Most often Hawksnest Beach is used for morning weddings because the lighting is outstanding for photographs.

Trunk Bay is by far the most popular beach for sunset wedding ceremonies.
Trunk Bay is considered one of the top beaches in the world. Regardless of the time of day for your island ceremony, Trunk Bay is truly picturesque. More ceremonies happen on Trunk Bay than any other location on St. John.
Trunk Bay charges $4 per person to enter the beach from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. daily.
Cinnamon Bay Beach is known as the longest beach on St John. This extended, white sandy beach offers views of neighboring islands, ample opportunity for a private ceremony, and phenomenal photographs. Cinnamon Bay has an intimate, tranquil atmosphere, leaving the Bridal couple feeling relaxed and stress-free.
There is no entrance fee to use this beach
There is one lovely gazebo location for your St John island wedding, overlooking the sweeping view of Pillsbury Sound and St. Thomas.
The gazebo can be decorated in a tropical or romantic wedding theme, and seating or other amenities can be added to suit your preferences.

St. John Luxury Villa Wedding

Ceremonies of St. John works with only the most professional caterers and chefs to be sure that your wedding reception is everything you imagined.

Luxury villas must be rented for one week.
Permission needed from villa management company to host a wedding ceremony and reception.
There is a site fee for a wedding ceremony and reception held at the villa, in addition to the weekly rental price.
Church Wedding Locations
Lutheran, Catholic, and Episcopal (Anglican) churches located in St. John offer lovely settings for a wedding in the Caribbean. All three churches are located in our quaint village of Cruz Bay.
The Lutheran Church, founded in 1720, is one of the oldest churches in the Caribbean.
Please note that your personal Minister may perform your ceremony on St. John if approved (with proper documentation) by the Territorial Court of the Virgin Islands.
A site fee will apply for the use of the church.
